Our program mission is to provide children who reside in the Sylvania Recreation District with a solid youth softball experience. Our programs promote development of fundamentals and skills through sound coaching. By participating in our softball program children develop self-confidence, meet new friends and learn how to work together as a team while enjoying America’s favorite game.
Teams are formed based on your child’s current grade and according to the school they are attending. Special requests for specific coaches, and teammates will be considered, however we are unable to make any guarantees. Please note: registrants are placed on a team of no more than 15 players; therefore registration is based on a first-come, first-served basis. If at any grade level from your home school, there are too many registrations for one team and not enough for a second team, the latest registrants are placed on other school teams where room permits.
These Programs are only open to Sylvania School District residents. ALL DATES & TIMES SUBJECT TO CHANGE!
When registering for baseball or softball programs you will need to register your child based on their CURRENT GRADE!
Practices During the pre-season, teams practice twice per week: once during the week and once on the weekend. When the season begins, teams will play two games per week and practice once per week. The program is only open to Sylvania Recreation District Residents.

Games: Pre-K (Monday/Friday) / Kind Boys (Tuesday/Thursdays) / Kind Girls (Tuesday/Thursdays) *Alternate days are possible.*
Time: 5:30pm & 7pm
Fees: $70 includes t-shirt / $10 additional after deadline
Deadline: March 22, 2024
Children must be entering Kindergarten in Fall 2024 to be eligible for the Pre-K program.
Date: Late April – Early July , 2024 (12 games)
Current Grade: 1st – 3rd Grade Girls (Sylvania Public & Parochial Students Only)
Location: Various School Sites & Pacesetter
Game Days:1st Grade – Modified Lob (Tues & Sat) / 2nd Grade – Lob (Mon & Thurs) / 3rd Grade – Lob (Mon & Thurs)
Fees: $80 uniform not included / $10 additional after deadline
Deadline: March 22, 2024
Our Sylvania teams will compete with the Oregon Recreation Department & Perrysburg Softball Commission teams. Divisions will include 4th grade, 5th/6th grade, and 7th & 8th grade. Grades may be combined if necessary to complete leagues.
