Our programs focus on the enjoyment of playing basketball in a controlled setting, as well as fundamental training through the drills necessary to properly develop.
Dates: January 22nd – February 12th, 2026
Grade: Kindergarten
Location: Sports and Exhibition Center at Tam-O-Shanter
When: Thursdays
Time: 4 pm – 4:50 pm OR 5 pm – 5:50 pm (limit 30 participants per session)
Fees: $60 includes t-shirt / $10 additional after deadline
Deadline: January 9th, 2026 (or until all spots are filled)
Teams will be organized based on the Elementary or Junior High District school district in which children reside depending on grade level and number of registrations. Special requests can be taken into consideration, however, cannot be guaranteed. There can be no more than two players from the same Junior High District on a Winter League roster. This program is open to Sylvania Recreation District residents only.
* Teams may not roster more than two players who made their Junior High School team.

When: Fridays (possible Mondays) / There are no practices for this program

The Wildcat & Cougar travel basketball program is for boys & girls who are entering grades 4 – 6 and reside within the Sylvania Recreation District. Teams will participate in a Northwest Travel Basketball League. We strive to provide a quality travel basketball program to players who have the interest, dedication and abilities to develop through quality instruction, training and expanded number of games against high-caliber opponents.
