Indoor & Outdoor Lacrosse

Sylvania Recreation has been offering Youth Lacrosse programs to Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan residents since 1995. There are a variety of lacrosse programs available to your aspiring lacrosse player.

Dates: Tuesdays 4 pm – 4:50 om January 27th – March 3rd, 2026
Grade: 1st – 4th
Location: Tam-O-Shanter
Fees: $70 Resident / $80 Non-Resident
Deadline: January 16th, 2026
Equipment Needed: Must provide boys’ lacrosse stick & gloves.

Grade: 3rd – 5th grade / 6th – 8th grade
When: Tuesdays
Location: Tam-O-Shanter
Fees: $100 Resident / $110 Non-Resident / $1200 Team
Deadline: January 9th, 2026
Equipment Needed: Boys’ lacrosse stick, elbow pads, shoulder pads, gloves, protective cup, mouthguard. Sylvania Recreation can provide a helmet.

- Games are 6v6 format. (4) – 8-minute quarters.
- Game play emphasizes quick transitions, high-energy play, on-the-fly substitutions, and quick starts following goals.

This program is instructed by local High School and College lacrosse players. The focus is placed on learning aspects of the game including proper fundamentals and skills.

Rec+ Lacrosse Program

Rec+ Lacrosse is a new optional offering in addition to the Learn 2 Play. Rec+ is additional $30.

Eligibility:

Open to Sylvania Recreation players in 1st and 2nd grade.
Participants must be registered in the Sylvania Recreation league to join Rec+.

Season Format:

The Rec+ season includes 6 Sunday games.
Games will be held at one of three locations, in Sylvania, Perrysburg or, Whitehouse (Anthony Wayne Schools).
Teams will compete against teams from other communities.

Additional Details:

No practices will be held for Rec+.
Teams will be organized based on the high school district in which players reside.
Rec+ rosters will differ from the standard Sylvania Recreation team rosters.
Additional equipment will be required, as it is gameplay based. Participants may borrow helmets from Sylvania Recreation.
